現在がグレート・モデレーションなら、そろそろ変化か
If now may be “Great Moderation”, trend will come sooner.
如果现在可能是“大平稳”，就趋势将来得早。
今週の日経ベリタス紙では、ボラタリティの低下（グレート・モデレーション）を指摘する記事がトップでした。
同紙によれば、1995/10～1997/04と2004/09～2007/07の間は、現在と同じようにボラタリティが低下した時期があり、後にアジア通貨危機、リーマンショックへつながったと述べています。
今回は日経平均、ドル円、日本国債１０年のパフォーマンスを調査しました。
1995/10、2004/09の月の終値を100％とした、最初の８か月間は変動率20％以内に、ほぼ収まっています。
８か月過ぎると動きが出始め、日経平均、ドル円は上昇、日本国債は下落する傾向が出たようです。
さらに、グレート・モデレーションの期間が過ぎると、必ず元の水準に戻る現象が発生していました。
Nikkei Veritas in this week reports the kill of volatility (Great Moderation).
According to this article, the market volatility was felled during 10/1995-04/1997 and 09/2004-07/2007 and this occasion related to the Asian currency crisis and the Lehman shock.
We analyze the performance of N225, USDJPY and JGB 10 years.
We treat 10/1995 and 09/2004 close price as 100% and can know the market volatility falls in almost 20% range in first eight months.
Passing eight months, there came a movement; N225 and USDJPY were jump and JGB 10 years was fall.
Moreover, after “Great Moderation” will end, the market price will back to the starting price.
現在の相場も過去８か月間の変動率は20％以内に収まっており、グレート・モデレーションと似た動きとなっています。
もし、現在がグレート・モデレーションであるなら、過去の経験と照らし合わせると、そろそろトレンドが出ても良さそうな頃合いです。
直近の予想されるトレンドとしては、日経小反発、ドル円買い、日本国債10年買いとなるはずです。
The latest market volatility falls in almost 20% range and this is very similar occasion.
If now is “Great Moderation”, there will occur some new movement.
We can estimate these; N225 will be brief rally, USDJPY and JGB 10 years will be BUY.
