ようやく円安が落ち着こうとしていたところに、“円安ホクホク”発言が効いて、大幅な円安になりました。

Just as the Yen was starting to stabilize, ‘Yen-Weakness-Happy’ remark kicked in and triggered a renewed depreciation.
